TikTok promotion services: the five kinds, and which fits you
A TikTok promotion service is anything you pay to get your video in front of more people. There are five kinds: TikTok Promote, running ads yourself in TikTok Ads Manager, managed TikTok ad services, creator and sound campaigns, and agencies. All five can be the right choice for someone.
Services that sell followers, likes or views are a sixth kind. They break TikTok’s rules, and this guide shows how to spot them.

1. TikTok Promote
Promote is TikTok’s advertising tool inside the app. You pick a post, a goal and an audience, set a budget and a number of days, and pay in the app. Goals include video views, followers, profile views, leads, sales and LIVE views (TikTok). You can use TikTok’s suggested audience or set your own by gender, age, interests and location.
Suits: creators 18 and over with a creator or business account who want a quick boost on one post. Viryze vs TikTok Promote.
2. Doing it yourself in TikTok Ads Manager
Ads Manager is TikTok’s full ad tool. You open an ad account, build campaigns, ad groups and ads, and can run your own post as a Spark Ad. There is no management fee, but TikTok’s daily minimums apply: more than $20 per ad group.
Suits: people who run ads often, want full control, and have time to check results every day. Viryze vs TikTok Ads Manager.
3. Managed TikTok ad services
A managed service runs TikTok ads on your video for you, usually as Spark Ads from its own ad account. You approve your post with a video code, the ad goes through TikTok’s ad review, and the service tests audiences and reports results. You pay one price that covers the ads and the work.
Viryze is one. It runs your video to several audiences at once and keeps the budget on the ones that follow, from $30 per video. How Viryze works.
Suits: creators and small businesses who want real TikTok ads without learning Ads Manager.

4. Creator and sound campaigns
Instead of running ads, you pay creators to make or post videos. For musicians, that often means paying creators to use your sound. Prices are set per creator or per campaign, and you brief and approve the posts.
Paid posts have to be disclosed as ads or sponsorships. In the US, the FTC explains how in Disclosures 101 for Social Media Influencers, and TikTok has its own branded content rules in its advertising policies.
Suits: musicians launching a song and brands that want creators’ own voices.
5. Agencies
A social media or ad agency plans and runs campaigns for you, often with content, creators and ads together. Agencies usually work on a monthly retainer or a minimum spend, quoted per client.
Suits: brands with a steady budget that want strategy and production, not just a promoted video.
Services that sell followers, and why to avoid them
Some services sell followers, likes or views by the thousand. TikTok’s community guidelines list “buying or selling followers or engagement for financial gain” as not allowed, and say TikTok removes fake likes and followers it finds.
Bought followers don’t watch your next video, so they don’t help it travel. Some of these services also ask for your login, which puts the account itself at risk.
How to check a service uses real TikTok ads
Six checks before you pay any TikTok promotion service:
- It asks for a Spark Ads video code, never your password. TikTok built the code so advertisers can promote your post without your login.
- It shows ad reporting: views, spend and results for your promotion.
- It mentions TikTok’s ad review, and says what happens if your video is rejected.
- It doesn’t guarantee a number of followers. Even TikTok says it can’t guarantee a specific number of views or other results from Promote.
- Its refund terms are in writing, on a page you can read before you pay.
- A real company stands behind it: a legal name, a contact address and a way to reach a person.
For the record, here is how Viryze answers each one: a video code, a results dashboard, TikTok’s ad review, no follower guarantee, a public refund policy, and Viryze Inc. behind it.
Viryze answers all six. Try it on one video.
